Carrot and Turmeric smoothie

This bright orange smoothie will wake you and make you feel amazing! Turmeric is one of those awesome superfoods that doesn’t get a lot of attention. It contains curcumin, which is thought to be the primary pharmaceutical agent in the spice. It promotes anti-inflammation and may give relief to rheumatoid arthritis. The orange and turmeric definitely add a nice zing while the sunflower seeds adds a touch of creaminess.

Ingredients


1 cup orange juice

1 cup carrot juice or grated carrot for extra crunch

2 teaspoons fresh ginger, minced (optional)

1/2 teaspoon SAMMIE'S turmeric mix

1 cup ice cubes

1 tea spoon sunflower seeds


Add all ingredients to the blender and blend until smooth, about 60 to 90 seconds.
